Warwick is situated in Kent County in the state of Rhode Island, USA. Bordered by the Narragansett Bay to the east, it covers an area of 128.5 sq km and has a population of around 100,000.
Warwick has a humid, continental climate. The temperatures are moderated by the bay, making it relatively warmer in winter and cooler in summer. The average summer temperature is 23°C, and in winter, the average temperature is –2°C.
Made up of 30 villages, Warwick was incorporated as a city in 1931. Home to Nathanael Green, the Civil War hero of the battle of Gettysburg, its illustrious history can be found in the many museums and historic buildings.
As the shopping capital of Rhode Island, the city attracts many shoppers every year. The coastline is the biggest attraction in Warwick. Dotted with beautiful beaches, it provides ample opportunities for boating and other activities.
