Overall Guide : Centennial Park The Centennial Park is spread over an area of 300 acres in the heart of Moncton. During the summer, several fun activities are carried out here and for these there is a large playground with a wading pool, gaming... more fields/courts and a sandy guarded beach. One can also find restrooms, picnic areas and a seasonal canteen here. It is not permitted to have dogs on the beach or on the playground. However, they are allowed on the park but they must be leashed. Irishtown Nature Park The Irishtown nature park has an area of 1800 acres. One can explore a forest, wetland and lake here and there is a plethora of wildlife and birds that can be viewed. Visitors can practice hiking or canoeing in this park. It is permitted to have leashed dogs on the grounds. Riverfront Park At the Riverfront Park, one can view areas for the Tidal Bore and spend time in a playground or picnic areas. On Wednesday nights, there is live entertainment at the Gazebo. Adjacent to the Petitcodiac River, there are multi-use trails which are part of this park for a length of 5 kms. On these trails as well as the park, leashed dogs which are under the control of the owner are permitted.
