Traditional events are also part of Zadar life with the regular Music Evenings at St. Donat and annual events like the Zadar Summer Theatre festival and the holiday of St. Krsevan. Home-made speciality cuisine is on top of the list of the many restaurants. No trip is complete without a visit to the home of Maraskino, the town’s own liqueur that was a favourite in European courts as early as the nineteenth century.
