Lisbon is set on a seven hills, its population is about 665000.
Restaurants are everywhere and in the evening entry is free; they are crowded of people who look for serenity.
At the night fun is developed around the port.
Lisbon is a small town: you can visit it by feet in few days. Lisbon is recovered by azulejos little blue tiles, introduced by arabs and used in a decorative way. The city is a mix of cultures, arabs, rinascimental, barocs and libety; her buildings are the real example.
Centre is crossed by large, planted with trees streets, with open-bars and buildings in art-nouveau.
The city is divided in two parts, linked by elevator and bus.
The peaceful atmosphere and the cultural variety, made Lisbon one of the most pleasant European cities; and also is a chip place and a focal point to organize tours in other place of Portugal.

Overall Guide : Its coasts situated on the Atlantic Ocean, allowed to visit Lisbon in spring, summer and in the first part of autumn to have funny experience. Summer comes soon, so people start going to the sea on April. You cannot give up... more to visit Belem Tower, the new aquarium and Edoardo park; Lisbon has lots places to go to, as Barrio alto, Alfama and Baixa. One of the most important museum is Calouste Gulbenkian. The intense smell of fried fish fills Lisbon’s streets; basic ingredients are: fish, meets, soup and sweets. Wine has an important role in Portuguese food: dry and sweet Barolo is the most requested. The climate is a continental kind with strong winter and warm temperatures in the summer from june to july in any case, it is always a windy city.

Overall Guide : Lisbon is a very beautiful city... it has cobblestoned streets, beautiful churches, fairy tale castles, top class restaurants, wonderful cafés, blue skies and lovely beaches and very welcoming people. It is a relatively safe place to walk about, more than... more adequate transport system and the cake in the icing...very affordable prices. It must be one of the cheapest capital in Europe to visit, where 4 and 5 stars hotels are about a fraction of the price when compared to other European capitals. The food is delicious, and has menus to suit all tastes.Lisbon have something for everyone. Come and visit, you'll never regret it.

Overall Guide : A week in Lisbon leaves a pleasant taste in your mouth for the rest of your life. A mix of the Old; Belem, Bairro Alto, Alfama and the New; Parque das Nacoes, UNESCO Heritage sites; Sintra and its Palaces &... more Castles and UNESCO classified; FADO, Poetry and Guitars strung together in a melancolic cocktail of sorrow, heartbreak, and Saudades. Food & Brink is a fraction of the price in Sydney, Australia.

Overall Guide : Don't only stay in Lisbon, go to nearby Sintra, Estoril, Queluz and the great monasteries of Tomar, Alcobaha, Batalha. Also the famous Mafra described by the Nobel Prize winner Jose Saramago in the "Memorial of the Convent." It's a good... more idea to rent a car, it doesn't cost much and the roads are excellent.

Overall Guide : The best value for the money. Very cheap accomodation, food and transportation and a lot of places to see. The significant minus for continental Portugal is the fact that you can not swim, not even in august (water temperature is... more not more than 18 C), but is very good for surfers.
Not to be missed ALGARVE COAST , Vasco Da Gama Bridge

Overall Guide : It's a city which is more than beautiful, it's hospitable, because people are smiling and kind. We stayed in a holiday home called Real Residencia, it was clean, with a fantastic breakfast which they left outside the bedroom door, (romantic)... more and close to the subway. We went with our two year old and we all loved it, I highly recommend it.

Overall Guide : A city with a splendorous view over the river Tagus, and with a amazing sunlight over its hills. Impressive monuments display the remains of what once was the most important city/harbor of Europe.
Overall rating 9

Overall Guide : It's a city where two souls coexist : modernity (in the neighborhood of the Expo) and tradition (in the most central districts, Alfama and Baixa). Beautiful views, friendliness and good cuisine/pastries make Lisbon a must-see.

Overall Guide : It's beautiful, there are no major problems with the language. It has a wonderful climate, a Moorish atmosphere. Don't miss the fado clubs. Club de Fado really impressed me. Take a city tour with tram nr. 28. The trams are... more loved by pickpockets!
