Anderson is located in Madison County in the state of Indiana, USA. The county seat, Anderson was incorporated twice, once in 1838 and then in 1853. This region has a rich history, originally being inhabited by Delaware Indians. Anderson received its named after Chief William Anderson (Delaware Indian).
The economic growth of this region received a boost with the completion of the railroad through Anderson. The discovery of natural gas in the late nineteenth century further spurred growth and several industries were set up.
The annual average temperature is around 11°C. It is best to avoid travel between the months of November and February, when the temperature is low.
With a population of around 59,700, most locals are engaged in commerce and industry. This region has an eclectic mix of people including African-Americans and Hispanics.

Overall Guide : There are a lot of entertainment venues in Anderson most of them being the perfect and fascinating places to visit. Most of the international hotel chains have their hotels in the city as well. The city is known for a ... Leggi tutto good nightlife with several pubs, music and a lot of cafes around. The main places that one must visit are Anderson Main stage theater, Anderson speedway, Anderson Public library, Anderson symphony Orchestra and the apple wood race way. The Historic Military Amour Museum is one real interesting place to go to. Richland and Lafayette are some near by towns known for their diverse cultural aspects. Anderson symphony orchestra is a special event and is much awaited by the locals and travelers alike.
