Bad Axe is a city situated in Huron County in the Thumb region of Lower Peninsula in Michigan. The city covers a total area of 2.1 sq miles and an elevation of 758 feet.
The city had a population of 3,462 inhabitants as per the 2000 census, with 97%25 of the population being Whites.

Overall Guide : Lake Huron which is about a half an hour distance from the city offers a host of fun filled activities to enjoy such as camping, hunting, golfing, fishing and boating. The city has a variety of retail stores, hotels, salons,... more restaurants, parks and churches to visit. Sanilac Petroglyphs State Historic Park in Bad Axe contain American Indian rock carvings, known as Sanilac Petroglyphs, engraved in sandstone and some of the main carvings are almost thousand years old. Pioneer Log Village has a unique settlement of historic buildings including a barn, a log cabin home, a chapel, a blacksmith shop, a school house and a general store. The furniture dates back to the 19th century pioneer style. There is a lot one can do in this city such as golfing, horseback riding, camping, bowling, canoeing, boating and more. Bannick Music & Games is an amusement and Theme Park.
