Located on the River Big Thompson in Larimer County is the city of Estes Park. This city has a population of approximately 6,000 residents. The city was founded in 1859 by Joel Estes.
Estes Park experiences cool winters and relatively warm summers. July and August are the warmest months of the year with a maximum average temperature of around 26°C. The topography of this mountainous city is absolutely brilliant with mountains covered with green and yellow grass, colourful flowers, lush forests and rivers that flow through the vegetation.
Lying in the picturesque landscape of the Rocky Mountains, this city is an excellent destination for a summer vacation. With the presence of several great parks, for instance the Rocky Mountain National Park and the Roosevelt National Forest, the city has become a hub for tourists. Subsequently, the tourism industry is the most important contributor to the city’s economy.
