Reviews Macon

Overall rating 8
Overall Guide : I have lived here for 5 years and find it easy to get around, good doctors, good convenient shopping, convenient to airport in Atlanta, wonderful tree canopy and hills. In spring there are 300,000 cherry blossoms blooming with all the... more azaleas and blooming trees. A beautiful sight. We have a wonderful Grand Theatre with a variety of entertainment throughout the year and an excellent symphony. Two colleges Mercy and Wesleyan, both well known. I love living here.

Overall Guide : Macon is a business city, there is very little entertainment facilities such as museums. There are plenty places to shop, such as three Walmarts, two Krogers, a Sam's Club, and a huge mall. Crime rates are very high in Macon,... more though. Streets such as Monpellier Avenue, Pio Nono Avenue, and Gray Highway are considered very dangerous. There are plentiful hotels and motels, though, making Macon a great place to stay a night on your way somewhere else.
Not to be missed Hay House , Museum of Arts and Sciences , Library Ballroom
