Mesa is situated in Maricopa County in Arizona, USA. The city has a total population of 447,000 inhabitants and is spread over an area of 324 sq km. The earliest settlers in Mesa were people from the Hohokam tribe; the first Europeans to discover this region were the Spanish.
Mesa has a very pleasant climate throughout the year. The maximum average temperature remains at around 30°C, and the humidity is also very low. The topography of this city consists mainly of plateaus (mesa means ‘table top’ in Spanish), steep cliffs, forests, lakes, arid areas and so forth. Superstition Mountains are the most striking landmark in the city, attracting thousands of tourists annually.
The city’s economy is largely dependent on the education sector and the aeronautical industry. The tourism industry is also an important contributor to Mesa’s economy. The public schools in Mesa are the biggest employers in the city.

Overall Guide : Mesa is known to have two great laser tag arenas called Laser Quest and Stratum. Fighter Combat International is a place where teams, individuals and groups can have the first hand experience of being a fighter pilot. There are some ... Leggi tutto good museums that are well kept and liked by many. These muses are Mesa Contemporary Arts, Mesa Historical Museum and Mesa Southwest Museum. Places like Tempe, Scottsdale, Chandler and Phoenix are close to Mesa. Tempe is around 12 miles away in the southwest direction, Scottsdale is around 12 miles in north direction, Chandler is around 16 miles towards the south and Phoenix is around 20 miles towards the west direction. There are a couple of annual events that are awaited by many. Some of the good events are the Annual Russo and Steele Collector automobile auction and Annual Barrett- Jackson Classic car Auction. Besides the above there are is a very nice event that is called the Arizona Tattoo Expo.
