The city of Scottsdale is located in Maricopa County in the state of Arizona, United States. It is referred to as the ‘West’s Most Western Town’ and has a population of 225,000 inhabitants.
The region was inhabited by the Hohokam Tribe till 1400AD. Thereafter, European settlement began, with the focus primarily on agriculture. The region was incorporated as a city in 1951 and has now evolved as a premiere tourist destination. In 1993, it was named ‘The Most Liveable City’ in the United States.
The city is characterised by moderate, dry weather throughout the year. Summers are warm, while winters tend to be mild. The year round beautiful climate, combined with many hours of sunshine, has made Scottsdale popular with tourists.

The city is bestowed with a beautiful desert landscape; the surrounding rugged mountains, ranches and the nearby Salt River offer a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, kayaking, hot air balloon rides and horse back tours. Scottsdale is home to numerous luxury resorts and spas, set in spectacular environs, making it an excellent destination for relaxation and self-indulgence. The city offers a plethora of shopping options, with a large number of boutiques and shopping centres such as Fashion Square and Kierland Commons. There is also an astonishing range of nightclubs, bars and restaurants.

Overall Guide : I STAY IN Old town Scottsdale every other year for vacation. I love the shopping and the arts district. There are very nice restraunts all around Old Town Scottsdale in walking distance of shops. Many of the restaurants have outdoor ... Leggi tutto seating and is very enjoyable. Scottsdale is very centrally located in Arizona to head out to the various sites in Arizona. Grand Canyon a must see one time in your life. It just beautiful to just get in a car and drive to no planes area and happen on to different things. I t can be 95 to 110 in Scottsdale and a 20 minute drive away, driving up a mountain around curvy roads and pow there's a hugh lake up on the mountain with boat houses and it in the lower 70's. Or venture up to Flagstaff where it can be snowing very hard, amazing after leaving the Phoenix area where the tempature was 94 and you drive into Flagstaff and it snowing. Awsome state for family vacations and romantic get aways.
