307 km2
323 m

Omaha is located in Nebraska, USA. This city is spread over an area of around 308 sq km and has a population of 428,000 inhabitants approximately. The first inhabitants of the region were the Native Americans like the Pawnee, Otoe and Sioux. The region began developing in the nineteenth century on account of the flourishing fur trade business. The primary commercial activities in the city are dependent on the banking, insurance, telecommunications and the transportation industry. However the tourism industry has also come up very well recently.
The climate is warm and humid through most part of the year. It is better to visit the city during the winter months to escape the humidity. The topography of the region includes lakes, hills, meadows, lush vegetation, etc. to make it a sought after tourist destination.

Overall Guide : It is a fun city to drive through and spend a couple of nights. Also the people in Omaha are a lot more freindly than some other cities. Another reason you should travel through or to Omaha is beacause they... more have a lot of live events and they host the College World Series every year, and who wouldn't want to miss that.
Not to be missed College Baseball World Series.

Overall Guide : Omaha still the best well kept secret. Property taxes and gas taxes are some of the highest in the nation, despite many unique and positive attributes not found in other communities, both large and small. The only State in the... more nation to have a unicameral type of government.
Not to be missed Henry Doorly Zoo , Air Force Base Museum. , Werner Park
Overall rating 6
Overall Guide : Wish I'd bought a house in a neighboring town, outside of Douglas County.
Not to be missed Henry Doorly Zoo , Joslyn Art Museum , Old Market
