The Alabama State in the United States has a County named Shelby wherein there is a city called Birmingham. This city has a suburb named as Pelham. The central portion of Alabama is occupied by Pelham and it is 15 miles towards the South of Birmingham. The total area of the city is 38.3 square miles out of which 38 square miles is occupied by land and water is spread over 0.3 square miles. Pelham is named after John Pelham, the famous American Civil War officer. On 27th March 1994, structures in this city were damaged along with Inverness, Helena and Indian Springs due to an F2 Tornado. Shelby is the fastest growing county in the state. Pelham has more than 5500 businesses.
As per the census of 2006, the population of Pelham is 20,120.
During summer, the temperature ranges from the 70s (degrees Fahrenheit) to the 90s. In winter, the temperature alters from the 30s to the 50s. Spring and Fall experiences a temperature variation from the 50s to the 70s.

Overall Guide : Recently moved to Pelham and have found it to be a great place to live. There are good places to eat and our neighborhood is as safe as could be. The city is always clean and easy to get around.... more I do wish there was more of a city/town square to make it more homey for visitors cause you never know when you are in the center of Pelham.
