Tucson

Tucson, sometimes called The Old Pueblo, is the second largest city of Arizona, USA. It is the seat of Pima County and is located around 100 km north of the Mexican border.
The city is 720 m above sea level and is located on the Santa Cruz River. Five minor mountain ranges surround the city, and the volcanic peaks, such as the Sentinel Peak, lie to the west of the city.
Tucson is said to be one of the sunniest cities in America, with around 3,800 hours of sunshine in a year. Summer is hot with brief, yet heavy, thunderstorms and temperatures that reach 40°C. Winters see temperatures ranging between 17°C–23°C. The city rarely witnesses any snowfall.
Tucson has a population of more than 500,000, making it the 32nd largest city in the USA. It is served by the Tucson International Airport on the southern side of the city.

Visit the old St. Augustine Cathedral, the 23-storey Bank Building (the tallest building in Tucson), the Pima Air & Space Museum (which has over 250 modern and older aircrafts on display) and the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum which is a desert species zoo. Ski down the slopes of the majestic 2,800-m Mount Lemmon, which is the highest point of the Santa Catalina Mountains, or go off-road motorcycling up the back part of the mountain. Don’t forget to catch a show at the Rialto Theatre, and end your sightseeing at the charming Saguaro National Park and the Tucson Botanical Gardens.
