The small coastal city of Yachats is located in Oregon, USA, at the meeting point of the Yachats River and the Pacific Ocean. Nestled between the forested mountains of the Coast Range, the city is spread over an area of 2.3 sq km and has a population of around 600.
Due to its proximity to the Pacific Ocean, the city enjoys a moderate climate. The average summer temperature is around 21°C, while in winter the average temperature is around 7°C. The city receives abundant rainfall causing floods along the coastal areas.
Known as the ‘Gem of the Oregon Coast’, the city has lush farmlands and a beautiful coastline. The serene beaches are lined with hotels and resorts, offering a dynamic view of the ocean. 
Fishing on the Yachats River is a popular recreation activity. The Yachats State Recreation Area has a number of lush green hiking trails. The natural, unspoiled beauty of the city has made the city into a popular vacation spot.

The park is spread across the Yachats River's mouth. Tourists can visit this place during the daytime. This park holds a wide variety of wildlife. Visitors can enjoy fishing, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Yachats Ocean Road State Natural Site is yet another magnificent state park in the city. This park is spread across the coastal area of the Pacific Ocean. This is an ideal place to spend some time amidst natural surroundings. The best place to experience the Yachats lore is the Smelt Sands State Recreation Site.  The beautiful trails in this area take the visitors towards spectacular sunset spots, picnic areas and tide pools. There is a 1930 year built old church in the city which now serves as a historical museum. This is known as the Little Log Church.
