Overall Guide : Shanghai hjas a rich tourist culture wirth various attractions, in addition to its long and complicated history. There are many well preserved buildings, built in various foreign styles and western tourists feel nearly at home going through the long streets... more in the Bund area because of its resemblances to European cities. The mixture of western and eastern styles has given the Bund a reputation as a “world’s fair of architecture”. In the old part of Shanghai you will still find many 1920s and 30s buildings. Close to the Old City there is the Yuyuan Garden, which is not to be missed. The Jade Buddha Temple, situated in northwest of Shanghai is the most admired Buddhist temple in the city, with two jade Buddha statues, one reclining and the other is seating. Shanghai is well known all over the world not only as a booming metropolis with rich cultural recourses, but also for the new tourist attractions developed in the recent years. A panoramic view of the river and city skyline, where you can notice skyscrapers of different styles can be enjoyed from a boat on the Huangpu River. On the modern Pudong side of the river stands the futuristic Oriental Pearl TV Tower, with its height of 468 meters it’s the third highest TV tower in the world. It has become a symbol of Shanghai and is considered one of the ten best views in the city. Another famous building on the same Pudong side is the Jin Mao Mansion. Shanghai got its international fame as “Pearl of the Orient” because of its brightly illuminated skyscrapers. Shanghai is a great shopping destination, with the best known shopping street in China: Nanjing Road. Further Shanghai is a paradise for food lovers, with its several famous restaurants, both international and local cuisine. The best time to visit the city is spring and autumn because of the mild temperature. There is an average temperature during the year of about 16°C and an annual rainfall average of about 1200mm.

Overall Guide : It's modern, spectacular, extreme .... but if you go a little way out you can still find the real China. Just don't follow the beaten track and take a few days to explore the narrow streets and markets. The Chinese,... more in spite of the difficult language, are hospitable and smiling and are able to put you at ease ....

Overall Guide : Shanghai is a nice city, there are many ways of transportation, very safe. But things are really expensive. My opinon is that Shanghai is ok... but I've been better areas. Most people are kind but i don't enjoy it because... more the language.

Overall Guide : I like Shanghai because it's a modern city surrounded by ever older decades of neighborhoods as you move west, with a lot of fun timeless neighborhoods in between.
