Newcastle is located on the south-eastern coat of Northern Ireland. This town of approximately 7,400 inhabitants is a popular seaside resort in Northern Ireland. Its coast is along a bay, and on the other side, the highest peak in the country towers over it.
This region enjoys more sunshine than other parts of the country. There is a fair bit of rainfall, but not much of snowfall. Winters are mild with the average temperature at 7°C; while average summer temperatures are 19°C.
Though this region is believed to have been inhabited for over 5,000 years, Newcastle remained a tiny fishing hamlet for most of its early existence. It was only about 150 years ago that the town began gaining importance as a seaside resort town.

Overall Guide : Newcastle is a beautiful place but the people are not friendly or helpful and live in their own little worlds, afraid to allow anyone else in. The Municipal services are excellent, the town in general is very neat and well ... Leggi tutto maintained, services in the business areas and retail businesses are very good and friendly as well as very efficient. I would just suggest a few more entertainment centers, and Christian shops, and craft shops and something to keep residents entertained, this is sorely lacking, especially over the weekends, there is no family entertainment, could I suggest a Fleamarket maybe on a daily basis or even just on the weekend, a pleasure park maybe something similiar to Gold Reef City, or Water World or something like a center where all the goods and articles of all cultures are exhibited like a Plaza but with all cultures, African, Chinese, Indians, etc. are brought together in one trading area,. I have a fantastic idea of a Pleasure Park which I believe would be an assets to Newcastle and would generate more funds for Newcastle, but unfortunately, I don't have the means or funds to build this Pleasure Park. Newcastle has the potential to become a great tourist attraction but needs a few more things to attract tourists. We have had a lot of friends come and visit us but get bored very quickly, due to the fact that there is nothing to do. I love Newcastle, but please we need to make it a fun town and not an old age town (not in a disrespectful sense) but this is what our outside Newcastle visitors are calling our beautiful town. Remember here are young people too, and I'm not talking about pubs and dance places, but good clean family entertainment. Your Sincerely Vanessa
