Valkenburg, a small town in the province of Limburg, is located in Netherlands. The city also known as ‘Valkenburg aan de Geul’ is one of the most important locations in the south of Netherlands. With a population of around 17,000 inhabitants, Valkenburg is the ideal tourist destination for all.
Valkenburg has a maritime climate, characterised by the three seasons of summer, rainy and winter. Summer is not too hot and winter is fairly cold. The best time to visit Valkenburg is from May to October.
Named after Mark Valkenburg, the town is the main centre of tourism in Netherlands. The castle ruins located atop a hill serve as a powerful reminder of the siege by King-Stadtholder Willem III.
Tourism is one of the major money-earning sectors of Valkenburg. Agriculture is also widely practised.

Overall Guide : I am from Manila, Philippines and I speak English, though I am trying to learn dutch but my dutch knowledge is not sufficient for me to understand your tour guide inside the cave. I know the tour guide is doing ... Leggi tutto a great job, he is funny coz I hear laughter from dutch visitors, he is informative coz I heard dutch visitors "ohhhhhs" & "ahhhhhs" everytime he say something about the cave and very accommodating, coz he entertains every questions being asked by dutch visitors. But what about me who doesn't speak dutch. My request, please employ English speaking tour guide to make the trip of english speaking guests like me, to Valkenburg worthwhile. Thank you very much. God bless
