Nairn is an ancient market town and fishing port located in Scotland about 26 kilometers towards the East of Inverness. It is situated in the Highland council area of Scotland and is a former burgh and town. In the past, the County of Nairn has Nairn as a county town. Nairn has a small museum that offers information regarding the local region. There is also a small theater, two golf courses and currently this town is best recognized as a seaside resort. This place also has two 18 hole Championship golf courses and is reputed as a world class golfing destination. The Nairn Golf Club had hosted the 1999 Walker Cup when golfers from all around the world visited this place. This will also be the venue for the 2012 Curtis Cup. The other golf course is called as Nairn Dunbar Golf Club. In each August, the Nairn Internatioanl Jazz Festival is celebrated here.
