In the Highland Council Area of Scotland, Nethy Bridge is a tiny village in Strathspey. This village is a secluded and quiet location at the periphery of the Abernethy forest. So, this is a popular tourist destination since Victorian times. The Abernethy Outdoor Center is an example of tourism in this place. In the past, this village was called as Abernethy. In the 1860s, when the railways were introduced in this place the name was altered. About a mile before the River Nethy reaches the River Spey, the Nethy Bridge spans the lower reaches of River Nethy. Here, there is a dramatic backdrop of hundreds of acres of Abernethy Forest and the frequently snowcapped Cairngorm Mountains. Nethy Bridge has easy access to numerous range of activities in the region, self catering hostels or establishments, hotels for bed and breakfast. Nethy Bridge is located between Grantown and Aviemore.
The population of Nethy Bridge in 2001 was 498.

Overall Guide : Don't miss Castle Roy, one of Scotland's oldest fortified ruins. Also check out the Steam Railway and of course a walk down the river, it's magical! Nethy is stunning come rain or shine and is often sunny when other areas... more are not.
Not to be missed Castle Roy , Steam Railway , River Walk
