Calistoga, located at the edge of Napa Valley, is a city in Napa County in California, USA. It is a small city with an area of about 7 sq km, housing a population of approximately 5,000 residents. Incorporated as a city in 1886, Calistoga is a favourite destination for thousands of tourists from all over the world. The Wappo tribe was the earliest inhabitants of this region. The first European settlers were the Spanish, who settled here during the eighteenth century.
This city is popular due to the numerous hot springs that are found in the area. Its topography comprises vineyards, hot water pools, hills, valleys, lakes and much more.
Mount Saint Helena is one of highest places in the city. Another important geographical site in Calistoga is the Old Faithful Geyser which is famous for its healing powers. The climate of this city is as beautiful as its landscape. Summers are warm and dry, and winters are mild, cool and pleasant.

Overall Guide : Calistoga is a vacationers paradise as it has some of the best spa’s one must visit, from mud bath, mineral bath, massages including Ayurvedic, Thai and Essential oil Swedish massages the Spa’s have it all and always make you want... more some more. The Sharsteen Museum, Bale Grist Mill and Petrified Forest have a great learning experience and are of historical importance. Oakland is just about 69miles South east of Calistoga and its Oakland zoo is very famous as it has 375 native and exotic animals of 114 different species maintained in their very own natural habitats. The Napa Valley Mustard Festival shows the rich agricultural bounty and vibrant fields and wine yards of Calistoga.
