Beijing is situated in northern China closet o Tianjin Municipality, surrounded by Hebei Province.
It is 16.800 square kilometers and a population of 13.82 million people.

Beijing is the capital of the People’s Republic of China.
It’s China’s most important centre for international trade and communications and is the nation’s political, economic, cultural and educational centre.
Throughout its long history it has been the heart of chinese politics and society.
Beijing’s long and illustrious history started almost 500.000 years ago. It endured invasions, wars, rise and falls of imperial dynasties and remains standing today as a strong and vibrant city. Beijing went through many dynasties and 34 emperors have lived and ruled the nation.

Also the cultural aspect of Beijing is close to ours, you find more and more entertainments from traditional performances as the Beijing opera to modern dances, concerts, pubs and clubs. Another sign of actuality and modernity is that Beijing has been selected as the city to host the Olympic Games in 2008. The climate in Beijing is continental and the annual average temperature is about 11,8°C. There is a long and cold winter, the temperature in January is about -4,8°C, the summer is long as well but hot, temperature reaches about 25,8°C. Spring and autumn are rather short and dry.

Overall Guide : I LOVE Beijing and the people of China!!! We lived there for 1 year. You need to blend in with the people, forget that you want things your way, live with them and NOT in the District for foreigners. Eat ... Overall Guide : It's a pretty good place to live if you don't mind the pollution. If you are a foreigner it is a little hard to live here but the food, culture and people make up for it. Overall Guide : One has to know Chinese to be in Beijing. Otherwise a lot of time is wasted in getting information. Moreover there are no maps or routes available in English. Using bus service or subway is difficult due to these facts!

Overall Guide : Beijing is really a mega city and it's nice to live here. Caters for all according to one's budget. However, no quality control on all products; counterfeiting is too rampant. This gives bad reputation.
