Plzen is the capital of West Bohemia in the Czech Republic and the fourth most populated city in the Czech Republic. It was founded by the Czech King Wenceslas II. Plzen is known for business, academics and cultural life. University of West Bohemia is well known for its Law School, School of Applied Science and School of Mechanical Engineering. Plzen has a cool and Oceanic climate. One must surely visit Diocessean Museum which is situated in Franciscan Monastery. Other places to be visited are Plzen Historical Underground which is a 13th century underground labyrinth that consists of vaults, tunnels and galleries, There is a Golf Park located in the virginal nature on the northwest edge of Plzen that offers a beautiful 18-hole golf course. One of the famous restaurant to be visited and tried out are U Salzmannu Restaurant which offers Czech and International cuisines along with Plzen beer. The interior and exterior of the building reminds the beginning of 20th century. There is a warm lounge with an outdoor terrace that is open during summers.
