The town is mostly frequented by visitors for the sunny beaches and the warm waters which are ideal for swimming. Also, Rimini has the most vibrant nightlife on this coast; it is also referred to as ‘the Ibiza of the Adriatic’. Ravenna, in the vicinity, is a small charming town with an Old World atmosphere. The two major sights of interest here are Dante’s Tomb and the Basilica of Sant' Appollinare Nuovo known for the beautiful mosaic.
