Spectacular events are a year-round feature in Spain. During Fiestas de Las Fallas, large papier mache effigies are built, paraded around Valencia, judged and then set afire. The town of Seville hosts two festivals—Semana Santa and Seville’s Feria de Abril—both being a photographer’s delight.
Fiesta de San Fermin is one of the most thrilling events in Spain, also known as Running of Bulls. Spain also hosts certain quirky events such as the biggest food fight, tomato fight, in Bumol. The Murcia Tres Culturas International Festival is Spain’s foremost cultural festival which includes concerts and cultural activities that centre on Judaism, Christianity and Islam. For a taste of Spanish nightlife, tourists can visit some of the pubs, the most famous being Abraxas in Palma, open in summers and on weekends in winters.
