Mantova is the capital of Mantova Province in Lombardy, Italy. Surrounded by the Mincio River on three sides, Mantova houses around 50,000 inhabitants. The city is a major tourist as well as agricultural centre.
Mantova has a continental climate but is highly variable. Summers range from warm to hot, while winters are sufficiently cold. Spring and fall have pleasant temperatures with dense fog covering the city.
The city is believed to have been founded around 2,000 BC. Ruled by many dynasties and finally being incorporated as a city, Mantova has developed into a beautiful tourist destination. Its industries include machineries, fertilizers, footwear and furniture.
