Other interesting places to visit in Lepzig include the Leipzig Zoo, which houses the world's largest enclosure for primates and the Gewandhaus Opera House to enjoy concerts and musical performances of popular artists. Stadtisches Kaufhaus is a place with several restaurants, offices and retail stores and is known as the world's first sample fair building. The museum Stasi Bunker is a famous history museum where travellers can learn about the secret police of the area. The Schillerhaus and the Medelssohn-Haus Leipzig are two other popular museums which highlight different aspects of the area’s history.
